About The Palace Hotel Broken Hill

The Palace Hotel Broken Hill was built in 1889 and enjoys a colourful history that's reflected in its unique and eclectic style.  Famous from the film “Priscilla Queen of the Desert”, its architectural beauty is enriched with over 500 square metres of colourful murals by indigenous artist Gordon Waye.

The Hotel offers a range of options from small private gatherings to large corporate events and has successfully hosted international conferences, corporate functions and film wrap parties. There are three spaces available for hire: Pavilion Room, Sidebar Restaurant and our balcony.

The Palace Hotel has 48 accommodation rooms, with the upper floors offering a large range of accommodation from deluxe ensuite rooms, pub style, family rooms, dormitories and the famous "Priscilla Suite".  Guests can enjoy the spectacular veranda with views over Broken Hill's Main Street.

Downstairs boasts a gorgeous bar, dining and conference rooms. The Bar and restaurant is open seven days a week with a great selection of craft beers, refined cocktails, wines and eating options.
