Contentious Character is a contemporary cool climate vineyard estate with winery, cellar door, restaurant and event facilities, set in the hills of Wamboin, only 15 minutes from Canberra Airport.

The vineyard features a large, flexible function space, seating 100 or 150 for cocktails, and can cater to all kinds of corporate events - from client cocktail functions to formal award dinners. Other event spaces include our vineyard lawn, our deck, our cellar, rustic barrel room and restaurant, offering views across the vineyard and surrounding countryside.

We provide fresh, local produce, wood-fired dishes, and charcuterie, prepared and paired with our estate wines for the enjoyment of your event guests.
